Creating content can be one of the hardest things in your business,  especially when you don’t have a lot of new projects or topics to talk about.

While creating posts about your clients, Styled Shoots, your favorite tips and tricks, and exciting business announcements are fun topics to talk about – you don’t always have new and exciting options within those categories to share.

This is where things can get a little tricky,  especially if you want to make sure that you were still pushing out consistent content every single week.

So, where do you start when it comes to creating content when you have to dig a little deeper to find something to talk about?

1. Turn pieces of old blogs into IG or FB captions!

( EX- a blog on “3 tips for your first look”, can now become 3 separate IG captions on planning your first look! ) OR Take an old tips and tricks blog and expand on one of the points listed inside of it and turn it into it’s own blog topic!

2. Find multiple ways to talk about a handful of specific topics!

( EX – if you take the topic of first looks, how many types of captions can cover that subject?

  • First look reviews from brides
  • First looks from a groom’s perspective
  • First look or no first look?
  • When a first look is necessary
  • 3 first look mistakes to avoid… )

There are tons of different ways to address one topic! Don’t just stop addressing a topic because you already wrote one post about it!

3. Batch create!

Sit down and create multiple pieces of content at once in order to avoid feeling rushed and “out of ideas”. I also recommend setting up a system that allows you to rotate through content easily so you never have to guess what to post next. Take a day and use that time to brainstorm ideas and get to writing!

4. Repurpose old blogs as new!

Got a blog that you wrote two years ago that hasn’t been shared in forever? Update it and publish it as a new blog! It never hurts to get old blogs a fresh feel – and NO, no one will remember the old blog you did. Trust me.

5. Use what you already have for fast captions or idea starters!

Use parts of your website, newsletter emails, FAQ sections, or reviews for easy captions or blog ideas when you feel stuck or on a time crunch!

The thing here is to keep it simple! Your content doesn’t need to be a 5+ minute read, it doesn’t need to be something that has never been written about before, nor does it need to be something that brings stress! Use what you already have to build new ideas and be able to crank out new content without burning out!
