And here's Information about it. Click here!

Many of you have told me that one of your biggest struggles when it comes to getting clients is you’re not sure how to get them to stop ghosting you. I’m going to run through 5 quick things to help prevent clients from ghosting you once you’ve sent them pricing.

1. Check your Spam folders

I’ve had so many go to my spam folder, I check it once a week just to make sure I’m not missing out on a potential client’s response.

2. Do you structure your pricing guide/ consult based off your ideal client?

There are a lot of pricing templates out there that you can purchase from others, and those are a great base line but if you’re just using those from somebody else and not tweaking it in a way that attracts your ideal client then they may not connect to it – which means no response!

I can’t say this enough… you have to know your ideal client! For me, I know my brides are busy ,so when I want to try to get them on a consult call then I chat with them on the phone versus sending a questionnaire to them or pushing for a in person coffee date. I know they aren’t going to have time for that.

You want to base your process off of your ideal client – not the way someone else does it.

3. What are you offering that is actually different than other people in your area?

Many of us are using the same pricing guides and templates. Most of us even provide a very similar service – so, How can you stand out? Tell them why you would be the best fit for their wedding.

For me, I only offer one package. When a bride inquires with me, they usually find it unique to only see one package. It helps me to stand out! I typically say, “Just so you know, I only offer one package because I know exactly what you need in order to get the photos you want for your wedding day. If you feel like you still need extra, I do have add-ons.”

Right off the bat I’m telling her I have her back and know exactly what she needs so she doesn’t need to be overwhelmed figuring it out!

I’ve had brides tell me, “You took all the guesswork out of it for me! You told me exactly what I need and that’s why I booked you!”

Figure out a simple way you can set your business or service up to stand out!

4. Are you giving them social proof?

We talked all about getting more client reviews over HERE on the blog. Now that you have them, are you using them to give your potential clients social proof?

I place reviews in my pricing guide, website, blog posts, etc – having them in multiple places allows my potential clients to see that others have loved working with me and that there is plenty of proof to back it up. I want them to see that I will be more than just a wedding day photographer for them on their big day!

One of my favorite reviews I have up on my website is this:

“ I HAD ACTUALLY BOOKED ANOTHER PHOTOGRAPHER FOR OUR BIG DAY BUT SAW ABBY’S WORK AND JUST FELL IN LOVE – I HAD TO BOOK HER! ”

This really shows potential clients that I offer great value for a bride to book me after booking someone else, and then writing a review to talk about how she is glad she did!

5. Welcome Text & Video

When you get an email from a client you can always send a text and/or a welcome video.

I’ve never personally done this, but I know many who have a spot for a phone number on their inquiry form and done this… Whenever they get an inquiry they send a text saying something like, “Hey, just wanted to let you know I just got your inquiry! YAY! I wanted to let you know there will be a pricing guide in your email shortly. Please let me know if you don’t see it in the next 5 minutes! Can’t wait to chat more soon! ”

My advice around texting clients?

  1. Be very cautious, don’t text during weird hours…. like outside of normal business hours.
  2. Once that inquiry text goes out, don’t text them again.

A great thing about this is that If your email goes to spam, she will know because she will say I haven’t gotten your email yet.

Another idea is, you can record a quick little video saying something like – “I am available for your date, you love your venue, I have attached a pricing guide, if they’d like to set up a meeting they can schedule with you at x,y,z” ( obviously this is a very quick overview! Make your video about 60-90 seconds! )

Make sure you also type out the important info in case they’re at work they can’t watch the video until later.
