I feel like the number one platform that gets put on the back burner for photographers is Facebook! A lot of photographers feel like they don’t get the traction that they’re looking for with Facebook and the algorithm, but I have a little Facebook secret that makes creating content super easy and super valuable for your Facebook page followers.
Now before we jump in, I want to say I built my business on Facebook.
I used a Facebook page and Facebook groups solely to build my business for almost the first three years. I had an almost 6-figure business before I ever truly started using Instagram to promote my services! If you are worried about not getting good traction on Facebook, trust me it is possible.
My favorite way to use my Facebook page is actually to share old content.
As a creative business, we are continually creating new content, adding to our portfolio, collecting reviews, and finding new ways to showcase our services. Often, after we make that post or that blog, we never touch it again. This is doing a huge disservice to not only our business, but also to our followers who might not have seen that content the first time around.
So here are three tips for sharing that content on your Facebook page!
- Reshare all of your old blog posts and Instagram posts! This is a super-easy way to share already made content. All you have to do is copy and paste a few sentences, paragraphs, and press posts with an image or link!
- Share past client reviews for easy social proof, and add a picture of the client to the review!
- Breakdown old blog posts that include tips and tricks, and share the tips and tricks separately as their own post! If you have a blog post with 5 tips for brides, break that blog post down and create five different posts, highlighting one of the recommendations. That’s one week’s worth of content for your Facebook page, with absolutely no work on your end.
There you go! There are my three tips for creating the most straightforward Facebook page strategy out there that works! This is a super-easy way to provide tons of value with minimal effort on your end!
