Raising your prices can be one of the scariest things you have to do as a business owner! It is never something that is easy and you often fear that you will lose clients every time you need to make a change! Let’s be honest though raising your prices is a huge part of your business and without it your business won’t grow and you won’t be able to afford to give your clients the experience that they deserve and that you want to offer! So here are three quick things you can do next time you raise your prices to quickly attract new customers!
Update your portfolio!
The two things I do every time BEFORE I raise my prices are to update my portfolio and to up my social media game!
Update your website by selecting your newest and best images and putting them throughout your website! Also, if you haven’t updated your Website bio recently, go back through it and re-introduce yourself! Let your potential clients know who you are, then let the rest of the website talk about your business!
Once you update your website, use those new favorite images to up your social media! Leading up to my pricing change and for a few weeks after, I am much more active on social media and try hard to target my ideal brides! I share these new images, reviews from past brides, tag vendors in my posts, and use strategic local wedding hashtags!
Blog for your brides ( or ideal client )
Another great way to draw additional brides and traffic to your website at this time is to blog specifically for brides! Offer advice, wedding trends, share your favorite bridal shots, anything that a bride would want to see or know about when planning her wedding!
Do a giveaway!
Do a giveaway via your social media for those who are engaged! ( or again something that would be attractive for your ideal client ) It could be for a mini session, a Mrs. Box, or even a bridal box of fun unique Mr. and Mrs. Gifts! Whatever your ideal client, and their friends and family, would be drawn to winning!
