It’s easy to tell yourself to wait—until the kids are back in school, your schedule is calmer, or inspiration magically returns. But real momentum in your business doesn’t come from waiting. It comes from taking intentional steps, even when things feel busy or uncertain.
Summer’s chaos doesn’t mean your business has to stall.
If this series has shown you anything, it’s this:
You don’t need to be perfectly motivated or inspired to move forward.
You need to keep showing up, one step at a time, consistently over time.
Even in the summer!
Today’s Easy Win: Choose Your Move, Make a Plan
Pick one day next week.
Pick one task.
And pick one time block.
Put it in your calendar right now—even if it’s 30 minutes between appointments, during nap time, or before your next shoot.
Don’t wait to feel inspired.
Don’t wait until you’re “in the mood.”
Decide now. Then show up when the calendar notification pops up for you.
This task shouldn’t be something like responding to an inquiry, or editing or writing an Instagram caption. It should be something that truly moves your business forward.
Need some ideas? Here are a few to choose:
- Update your pricing guide
- Reach out to planners or vendors to reconnect
- Map out your marketing while you’re on vacation
- Review your client journey or prep workflow
Or go with one that you’ve had in the back of your brain for a bit.
Let This Be the Start, Not the Finish
If you’ve finished taking the action steps from the rest of our Breaking the Summer Funk Series —thank you. But more than that… well done!
You didn’t let the summer funk win.
You leaned in. You reset your rhythm. And you made a move that will pay off in the next few months.
If you want to keep the momentum going and you’re craving accountability, a strategy and game plan to help you accomplish it — I have a few 1:1 coaching spots open right now.
If you’re interested in coaching, send me a message on Instagram and I’ll share all the details with you.
Summertime is the time to make your next move. Let’s set you up for a strong, sustainable fall.
