Do you struggle with consistently marketing your business because you feel like you just don’t have enough time?  The truth is marketing your business effectively does not have to take hours a day, hours of planning, or preparing weeks in advance –  all it takes is a simple strategy and efficiency!

One concern I hear a lot from photographers, especially photographers who are moms or who still work at 9 to 5, is that they need to figure out how to Market their business within a tiny time frame every single day.  While it might seem extremely difficult, I’m going to give you three tips on how I would Market my business if I only had 30 minutes a day.

Tip 1 – Create a content system for each platform!

Example – Monday we post about what is coming up this week or what happened over the weekend. Tuesday we post about a past session. Wednesday we post about something exciting in business. Etc.

A schedule helps you stick with a simple system and create content easily. Your categories don’t need to be super specific either, you can keep them flexible in order to avoid your audience catching on or you running out of topics. So for example – if Wednesday is your “business” category you could cover business tips, softwares, business bts, etc.

Tip 2 – Create your content for the week!

Set a timer for an hour, pull the images you want, create the captions, and even map out what you will share on stories! That way when you open your apps you are doing so with purpose and a plan! – I recommend planning this out either on Friday, or over the weekend. If you wait until Monday to plan for the week, you’re likely to get pulled in other directions!

One reason marketing takes so long is because we get side tracked with notifications, scrolling feeds, and checking messages – BUT if you head to a platform with a purpose and plan, you won’t get sucked into the noise as easily.

The more you do this the easier it will get, promise!

Tip 3 – Automate whatever you can and set reminders for others!

You can automate posts to Pinterest and Facebook without much penalty – so why post in real time if you only have 30 minutes to spare? ( Plus, why risk forgetting to post?! )

Use those 30 minutes where they really count or where you can’t automate! – Like posting on Instagram, replying to comments, and posting on stories!

If you can’t automate, then set a daily reminder for your marketing so you remember to post when it is most effective!
