Brittany and Mitch’s wedding at Powel Crosley Estate this weekend was definitely one that I have been looking forward to for so long! After 9 years of dating these two are finally married and there were so many people there to celebrate that couldn’t of been happier for them! Brittany’s choice of soft pinks, whites, and golds complimented this venue in such a perfect way and gave their wedding a very elegant and intimate feel! When I arrived Sunday afternoon, Brittany and her girls were all gathered in the bridal suite laughing and soaking in those quiet moments of the day before things got busy! These girls were amazing and helped with getting Brittany ready and helped us stay on our timeline; which was HUGE because we had no idea when the rain would be starting!
As it grew closer to the ceremony, we were keeping our fingers crossed that the rain would hold off just long enough for us to get these two married and get their photos taken! When the music for the ceremony began I looked over at Mitch and I could see him holding back the tears. You could see just how excited he was to not only see his bride but to finally get to marry her! As Brittany turned the corner on the path that lead to Mitch, he couldn’t contain his tears any longer! ( just wait until you see the photos! ) These two said their vows in front of their closest friends and family Sunday evening and when they were pronounced husband and wife the smiles that crossed their faces were contagious! Some of my favorite images from the day are from that moment!
Once the ceremony was done we rushed to grab their portraits before the rain set in and when I say we barely made it in time – I’m not kidding! We ended up finishing portraits 40 minutes early and still managed to get some amazing images of these two! Brittany and Mitch were both SO amazing and laid back all day! Neither one of them were worried about the rain, about getting enough portraits, or anything else besides getting married to their best friend ( and I LOVED that about them! )
As the sun was about to set the rain stopped just in time for us to got one last bit of light for our final portraits, and I loved getting to have their whole venue in the background of these images! From the outdoor staircases, the strung lights, the outdoor reception area – this venue is the perfect place for a summer wedding! As we finished portraits, Brittany and Mitch went right into their first dance on the back patio under the bistro lights! They swayed back and forth while just smiling at each other, and their faces showed just how happy they truly were!
As the reception began, the dance floor filled with guest and everyone dance and chatted the night away under the bisto lights. It was such a gorgeous evening and the perfect way to celebrate these two! As they left the reception the DJ put on one last song and had everyone join in while blowing bubbles all around Brittany and Mitch instead of the traditional exit, and I absolutely LOVED this! Their exit photos have now become a favorite also!
Brittany and Mitch, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your gorgeous wedding day! I am so happy for two and I hope you have a great honeymoon in St Lucia!
